Nestlé South Africa will phase out a number of Nescafé Dolce Gusto® capsule offerings. After careful consideration, the coffee manufacturer has decided to discontinue several flavors from the existing capsule range.
“Continuously delivering value to our consumers is what drives our business as Nestlé. This move will allow us to offer variety in line with consumer demand and further ensure we bring innovation within our premium Starbucks® range which includes Nescafé Dolce Gusto® compatible capsules,” said Nicole Roos, Business Executive Officer for Coffee and Beverages, Nestlé South Africa.
The discontinued capsule coffee flavors are;- Chai Tea
- Marrakesh Tea
- Lungo
- Ristretto Ardenza
- Americano Smooth Morning
- Lungo Decaf
- Mocha
- Ice Cappuccino
- Skinny Cappuccino
- Caramel Macchiato
- Vanilla Latte Macchiato
- Espresso Peru
- Lungo Columbia
- Grand Mexico
The following variants will continue to be available for sale in South Africa:
- Americano (16 & 30 pack)
- Cappuccino (16 & 30 pack)
- Cappuccino Intenso
- Café Au Lait (16 & 30 pack)
- Café Au Lait Intenso
- Latte Macchiatto
- Flat White
- Chococcino
- Nesquik® Chocolate
Furthermore, Nescafé Dolce Gusto® has introduced a wide range of Starbucks® compatible capsules that are becoming increasingly popular among coffee aficionados. The premium variants from the Starbucks® portfolio include:
- Starbucks® Cappuccino
- Starbucks® Latte Macchiato
- Starbucks® Caramel Macchiato
- Starbucks® Espresso Dark Roast
- Starbucks® Americano Veranda Blend
