Nestlé’s Healthylicious Day at Diepsloot Community Centre

As part of Nestlé’s health and wellness commitment to the community, the company is extending their Healthylicious Campaign to community centres in Johannesburg and Cape Town, and will be doing so until the end of September 2014.

On Saturday 30 August, Nestlé visited the Diepsloot Wings of Life Centre in Johannesburg. The community members who attended the event were offered free Nestlé WelNes IQ Tests which, through a series of questions, summarizes their current knowledge of nutrition.

The aim of the test is for people to increase their WelNes IQ over time and become more aware of their own health and wellbeing. In addition, independent Nurse and Dietitian consultations were also offered as well as fun and active hoola hooping sessions. A partnership between Nestlé and DisChem also allowed visitors to receive free blood sugar, blood pressure and cholesterol testing.
