Some of South Africa’s top influencers and content creators swapped ring lights for aprons as they stepped into the kitchen for the official launch of GoodNes; Nestlé South Africa’s new digital platform aimed at making healthy and nutritious eating simpler for local families and individuals who enjoy home cooked meals. and individuals who enjoy home cooked meals.
Held at Discovery Healthy Food Studio in Sandton last week, the launch event offered an engaging hands-on cooking experience and providing attendees an exclusive preview of the platform’s smart meal planning tools, nutrition tips, and easy recipes using familiar pantry staples.
As part of the launch experience, attendees prepared delicious recipes such as the Maggi Lazenby stir-fry, featuring a blend of beloved brands like Maggi 2-Minute Noodles and Worcestershire Sauce. They also made rich, chocolate brownies made with Nestlé Aero and naturally sweet, nutritious dates.
Content creator, Karabo Didi was one of the influencers that joined the group of master chefs in the kitchen and says “Nestlé is all about eating well, living well and staying well. A lot of us can agree that poor meal planning and a lack of creative ideas in the kitchen often leads to unhealthy eating habits. Nestlé has launched a platform that focuses on meeting the real nutritious needs of families”. The energy in the kitchen was infectious, and it was wonderful to see so many people interacting with GoodNes, our head chef Neo Nontso (@DinewithDineo), and each other—while creating content that captured the spirit of the day.”
The vibrant and talented Chef Nontso brought her signature warmth and expertise to the experience. She guided attendees through the simplicity and versatility of the GoodNes platform, showing just how easy it is to prepare nutritious, delicious meals. Chef Neo also shared expert plating techniques, and participants enthusiastically embraced the opportunity to present and show off their creations.
“It takes the guesswork out of the kitchen,” she said, “and gives you more time to enjoy meals with your loved ones.”
Among the content creators at the launch was Manelisi Ndlovu, widely known for his wholesome, family-focused content. Reflecting on his experience with the new platform, he shared: “With GoodNes up my sleeve, I’ll definitely pick up some tips to prep more nutritious meals for my wife and kids. This is that next level I’ve been looking for in the kitchen.” He added, “I love that GoodNes makes balanced eating feel doable. I’m always trying to cook better for my family, and now I’ve got a tool that’ll help me plan, shop, and serve!”
