Update on Ethiopia Joint Venture

Nestlé Waters has agreed to transfer its stake in Nestlé Waters Ethiopia to its joint venture partners.

This decision is part of Nestlé’s strategic decision to review its water business portfolio.

The joint venture partners, who are the original owners of the business, have a deep knowledge of the market and can further develop the business by making synergies with the different activities they own and operate locally.

This arrangement will not have any impact on all local employees in Sululta. The joint venture partners have also committed to continue access to water projects initiated by Nestlé Waters.

Nestlé will continue to contribute to the economic growth of Ethiopia, and this new arrangement will support the sustainability of the business in the country over the long term.
